The Morning Star, which Ellen White’s son Edson took through the south setting up schools and churches, was not just any old boat:

“From the many remarkable and interesting experiences that Edson and his associates have had on The Morning Star, and because of the part it has acted in an important and blessed work, Edson has regarded it as different from an ordinary piece of property, and so have I.” Manuscript Releases, Vol. 3, 1993, page 270.

If an old steamboat traveling the rivers in the 1800s could educate and enlighten the illiterate about Christ and win souls for eternity, building churches and schools along the way, what could a fleet of Recreational Vehicles do just before Jesus returns?

We invite you to sample this Beehive Initiative that it might become a feast for the harvest:

Our Vision +

The Taste and See Tour is the health message on wheels. Jesus has commissioned us to go ye therefore and teach all nations. We are to go out to the highways and hedges and compel them to come. In some ways, going to “all nations” has been restricted to going to other countries, and the work of reaching every nation, kindred and tongue and people has been largely neglected here in the US.

By faith, The Beehive is orchestrating a tour, using a fleet of recreational vehicles, pulled by trucks that will go throughout the nation sharing health and healing with communities hungering for the truth, especially those with the highest incidence of degenerative diseases. Manned by health evangelist, skilled in the science of cooking, these tours will do cooking demonstrations, health lectures and allow individuals to “Taste and See” that God’s life-activating diet is not only healthy, but delicious. In going to where the people are, this tour will “publish glad tidings” and reinforce the other work the Beehive is engaged in, including in-home care, the work with the lifestyle retreats and the restaurant work.

“Christ's method alone will give true success in reaching the people. The Saviour mingled with men as one who desired their good. He showed His sympathy for them, ministered to their needs, and won their confidence. Then He bade them, "Follow Me." Ministry of Healing, p. 143

In the gospels we often see Christ eating with Publicans and other societal outcasts. In an integrated scenario, the Taste and See tour allows God’s people to “mingle with men” and demonstrate to them that we desire their good.

THE PLAN:

As an ever-expanding ministry seeking to go beyond the walls of the church and even the borders of our nation, The Beehive has devised a plan to go to the highways, literally. With the support of a network of Christian radio stations, restaurants, and health evangelism through The Daniel Challenge outreach program, we have carefully designed a tour to utilize kitchens on wheels, going throughout the country. These RVs will be fully equipped with six foot tables for demonstrations, 25 to 30 folding chairs for an audience, health evangelist, and a dynamic and interactive, 30 minute health talk, followed by food sampling. The Taste and See Tour is a proactive plan that doesn’t wait for individuals to show up at the church. We will take the message to audiences so that they can truly experience the right arm of the gospel anywhere a RV can travel. We believe that the hour is late and we must go to where the people are, and not expect them to come to us. It is time to break down the prejudices and the health message is exactly the way to do it.

THE METHOD:

The method to take Taste and See on tour is by using 5th wheel trailers and RVs. Since 5th wheels do not require gas and are a little more economical and practical, allowing our workers to unhitch and travel around town unencumbered, they are preferred. But any mobile home-type vehicle with kitchen and sleeping amenities will work. Each RV will be attractively wrapped or painted with the Taste and See Tour logo, so that the brand will become well known and will be a symbol of good will in communities around the country.

BEEHIVE/CHURCH PARTNERSHIPS:

The Beehive and Taste and See Tour is seeking to partner with local churches. The Taste and See Tour will only be a sampling of a larger meeting that will take place at a local church. In other words, the Taste and See Tour will go out to where the people are, cover the more salient points in a one hour health talk, but will then point people to regularly scheduled meetings taking place at our local church partners. This will in essence be outreach for the local churches. Through this partnership, the local churches will allow the Taste and See Tour to park its RVs in the churches parking lot and have access to water and power. This is living out John 17:21.
